"This volume brings together the stories Records for a War Story, They Found the Car, The Innocents, The Two Mushrooms and The Dead Hand.

In Records for a War Story, three teenage friends keep their heads above water through petty criminal activities against the backdrop of a fictitious war. They join the unscrupulous militiaman Felix as money collectors. But the dream of quick money turns into a nightmare.

The Innocents: Being on the streets. Being in the gang. For years, that's all we kids wanted. I don't remember relatives, video games or TV shows. And there was us, still innocent until proven guilty.

One late-night phone call, a few words and everything changes in They Found the Car. Two former friends are forced to account for a long-ago crime." (avant Verlag)
