Biography
Melanie Rohner is Assistant Professor of Modern German Literature at the University of Bern. She previously worked for several years at the University of Geneva and undertook research stays in Leiden, Bonn and Freiburg. Her research focuses on intercultural literary studies, gender studies, genre theory and comparative literature.
She has published on various authors of German, French, Spanish and English literature. Her most recent publications are the anthology Weisssein in der Schweizer Literatur (ed. with Sabine Barben, Zurich, Chronos, 2025) and the study Grenzüberschreitungen: Goethe's Hermann and Dorothea (in: Jan Gerstner, Jakob Heller and Nils Jablonski [eds.]: Transidyllic Perspectives, Bielefeld, Aisthesis, 2025).
