Sonsoles Pizarro studied Translation and Art History at the University of Granada.
A freelance translator for over twenty years, she has worked as a translator and editor of art texts for numerous museums, magazines and institutions, as well as a literary translator for publishers such as Lundwerg, RBA, Urano, or Almed.
Since 2001, she is at he head of the Art Department at Sublimages, translating and subtitling video art works for the main contemporary art museums in Spain (Reina Sofía Museum, MACBA, Fundació Tapies, CCCB). She also works on film translation for international film series and festivals.
