Biography
Kunal Basu is the author of twelve novels and three collections of stories. His works have been translated into numerous languages, and his story The Japanese Wife was adapted into an award-winning feature film directed by Aparna Sen. He has presented his work at international literary festivals around the world and has held literary fellowships in the United States and Australia. Born in India and now based in Oxford, where he teaches at the University of Oxford, he is completing an interconnected collection of stories set in contemporary Calcutta.
