Nora Nagi

Biography

Nora Nagi is an Egyptian journalist and novelist, born in Tanta in 1987. A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Interior Architecture section (2008), she currently holds the position of editor-in-chief of the women's website Nawaem.
She is the author of several novels, including Bana (Dar Leila, 2014), Al-Gidar (Dar Al-Riwaq, 2016), and Banat al-Basha (Dar Al-Shorouk, 2017), the latter of which was shortlisted for the Sawiris Prize, young authors category, in 2018. She then published Atyaf Camellia (Dar Al-Shorouk, 2020), a work for which she received the Yahya Haqqi Prize in the same year.
She is also the author of Al-Katibat wa al-Wahda (Dar Al-Shorouk, 2020), the collection Mithl al-Aflam al-Sazija (Dar Al-Shorouk, 2022), awarded the State Encouragement Prize, as well as the novels Sanawat al-Jari fi al-Makan (Dar Al-Shorouk, 2023) and Bayt al-Jazz (Dar Al-Shorouk, 2025). She has also been awarded the Radwa Ashour Prize for Arabic Literature.
