Andrej Gato studied philosophy, psychology and history in Münster and Ljubljana.

After graduating, he worked as a stuntman and stunt coordinator. He has been a freelance author and journalist since 2003.

His topics include literature, films and mystical traditions such as Sufism, Shivaism and Kabbalah.

He spends his summers in Berlin and his winters in Athens.
