Ghazlan Touati is an Algerian writer who is particularly interested in the position of women in Algeria today. She is the author of two collections of short stories: 'Women Don't Do That", published in 2022, and 'A Bad Time to Buy Fish', published in Egypt in 2024, which was longlisted for the Al Multaqa Prize for Arabic Short Stories in 2025. She has also published several articles on women's issues and culture.
