Studied education, philosophy and religious studies in Fribourg (Switzerland). Worked for NGOs on flight, migration and racism prevention. Turned to elementary education and primary school teacher for 25 years. Also a textbook author, columnist in an educational magazine and lecturer at the Zurich University of Teacher Education. An inveterate fan of FC Zurich since childhood, with brief, unsuccessful periods of abstinence.
