Studied history, philosophy and politics. Since then he has worked as a freelance journalist and critic for all media (print, radio, online). He also moderates and teaches. Thematic focus: Film, theory, history, international politics. 
Since 1997 editor of the film-webzine artechock. Since 1998 work for various film festivals, since 2004 in changing functions on the board of the German Critics Association.
Since 2013 also active as a film director. He has made three documentaries on the political history of culture, which have been shown worldwide.
