Loaay Wattad is a cultural sociologist specializing in Palestinian and Israeli children’s literature, with a particular focus on politics, borders, and childhood. He is an EUME Fellow at the Forum Transregionale Studien in Berlin and a Minerva Postdoctoral Fellow at Freie Universität Berlin. He is also an advisor for the Arabic and Hebrew children’s literature collections at the International Youth Library in Munich. His research explores the intersections of literature, politics, and childhood, with particular attention to Palestinian children’s literature.
